Live-In Care Assistant
Location: Essex-based placements
Pay: £850–£950 per week, depending on experience and the complexity of the care package
About the Role

We are looking for compassionate, reliable and experienced Live-In Care Assistants to support individuals in their own homes across Essex. You will play an important role in helping service users maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life while providing consistent, personalised care.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia, who are confident working independently and delivering care with patience, understanding and compassion.
Key Responsibilities

Providing personal care and support with daily living activities.

Assisting with mobility and safe movement around the home.

Supporting with medication in line with care plans and guidance.

Preparing meals and helping maintain good nutrition and hydration.

Providing companionship and emotional support.

Supporting individuals living with dementia and adapting care to their needs.

Encouraging independence, dignity and personal choice.

Following individual care plans and maintaining high standards of care.

Providing reassurance and a consistent, caring presence within the service user's home.
Requirements

Previous experience supporting elderly service users is essential.

Experience supporting people living with dementia is highly desirable.

Confidence with personal care, mobility support and medication assistance.

A compassionate, patient and reliable approach.

The ability to work independently and adapt to individual care needs.

Ideally available for rotational live-in placements.

A professional attitude and commitment to delivering person-centred care.
