About Prime Disaster Response

Prime Disaster Response is a growing restoration business supporting insurers, loss adjusters and private clients across London and the South East.

Our ambition is to be the restoration company insurers turn to first for high-net-worth claims. We’ve built a strong reputation for responsiveness, technical competence and professionalism, and we’re continuing to invest in our people, standards and services as the business grows.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced restoration professional who’s ready to take the next step into technical leadership, with a clear pathway to becoming Technical Manager.

You’ll take responsibility for maintaining and improving technical standards across our field-based team, supporting technicians, overseeing quality and helping coordinate work.

Over the following 18–24 months, you’ll gradually take on greater responsibility for people management, commercial performance and team development, supported by the Directors.

This role suits someone who already leads by example on site and wants the opportunity to develop their leadership skills while helping shape a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the senior technical point of contact on site, developing into a key contact for loss adjusters and insurers
  • Set, monitor and maintain technical standards across restoration projects
  • Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure consistent quality
  • Deliver practical training, coaching and mentoring to technicians
  • Oversee health and safety practices and field compliance
  • Support the planning, scheduling and allocation of work
  • Report to the Directors on workload, quality, performance and potential risks
  • Help improve technical processes, documentation and service delivery

As the role develops, responsibilities will expand to include:

  • Line management of field managers and senior technicians
  • Oversight of job profitability, cost control and resource planning
  • Development of structured training programmes and quality frameworks
  • Supporting recruitment, team development and wider business growth

What We’re Looking For

  • Several years’ experience in fire and/or water damage restoration, insurance repairs or property claims
  • Strong technical understanding of structural drying, mitigation and restoration processes
  • Good knowledge of the insurance claims process
  • Experience managing restoration projects and supporting other technicians
  • Confidence making technical decisions and resolving problems on site
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • A proactive approach to improving standards and developing others
  • Organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility
  • Willingness to develop leadership, people-management and commercial skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Based within approximately one hour of Watford

Previous formal management experience isn’t essential. We’re looking for someone with the technical ability, attitude and ambition to grow into the role.

BDMA, IICRC (WRT/ASD/FSRT), CSCS, SMSTS or IOSH qualifications would be advantageous.

What We Offer

  • £38,000–£44,000 depending on experience
  • Company vehicle
  • Performance bonus scheme
  • Structured 18–24 month development pathway to Technical Manager
  • Written development plan with quarterly progress reviews
  • Regular one-to-one support from a Director
  • Funded management, leadership and technical training
  • Salary reviews linked to agreed development milestones
  • Opportunity to shape technical standards and contribute to business growth

Working Pattern

  • Monday to Friday
  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Based at Watford HQ with regular site visits across London and the South East
  • Direct reporting line to the Directors
