We combine technical excellence with a people‑led culture, high standards and real ownership. Leak detection is a core and expanding pillar of our service.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Leak Detection Technician who wants responsibility beyond day‑to‑day callouts. You’ll locate and diagnose leaks, produce clear reports for insurers and manage on‑site communication with homeowners and adjusters. Outside leak detection works, you’ll deliver plumbing repairs, servicing and (where qualified) boiler installations, at a level where you also help scope, price and grow the plumbing function. This role suits someone commercially minded, confident working alone and keen to shape a growing service line.
Key Responsibilities
- Trace and locate leaks in homes impacted by escape of water
- Carry out trace and access investigations
- Identify leaks across hot and cold services, heating circuits and underfloor systems
- Provide accurate, insurer‑ready reports and recommendations
- Use a range of non‑invasive detection techniques
- Communicate findings clearly to clients and stakeholders
- Complete plumbing repairs, servicing and installations when required
- Price and advise on plumbing works with support from the business
- Support junior team members as the function grows
- Follow company H&S and documentation requirements
- Contribute ideas to improve tooling, reporting and delivery
What We’re Looking For
- Gas Safe registered (essential)
- 2–5+ years’ experience in leak detection or plumbing
- Strong practical understanding of plumbing systems and property construction
- Able to use common detection tech and investigative methods
- Comfortable pricing and scoping works
- Excellent communication and customer‑handling skills
- Calm and professional in occupied, sometimes stressful homes
- Self‑sufficient, reliable, accountable, and proactive
What We Offer
- £36,000–£42,000 DOE + performance bonus
- Company vehicle, equipment and uniform
- Autonomy to shape and grow the plumbing offering
- Ongoing training and development
- Supportive, quality-driven team culture
Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime available where required
- In‑person/site-based role
- Additional leave + wellbeing support
