Our client is a growing manufacturer of bespoke timber doors, frames and panels, supplying high-end commercial and residential projects. They are looking for a hands-on Workshop Supervisor to lead a skilled joinery team and oversee daily workshop production.
The Role
- Supervise and motivate bench joiners, sprayers and workshop operatives
- Plan and coordinate workshop production and workflow
- Read technical drawings, specifications and cutting lists
- Maintain high standards of quality, craftsmanship and productivity
- Monitor production targets, deadlines and material waste
- Manage Health & Safety procedures
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching and employee management
- Manage attendance, timekeeping and holidays
- Work closely with senior management and the wider manufacturing team
About You
- Experience in joinery, woodworking, furniture manufacturing or timber doors/frames
- Previous supervisory, team leader or workshop management experience
- Strong people management and communication skills
- Good understanding of Health & Safety
- Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently and make confident decisions
Own transport is essential due to the location.
Monday–Thursday: 7:00am–4:00pm
Friday: 7:00am–3:15pm
20 days' holiday + bank holidays
