Are you able to build an electrical control panel working from technical drawings and a collection of components? If so, a busy industrial electrical manufacturing company are looking to recruit a Panel Builder / Wirer to build complex control panels. The company supply a variety of fully equipped control panels, relay panels, enclosures, replacement panel fronts, marshalling kiosks and equipment racks to the electricity supply & other various industries in the UK and overseas. If you are looking to start a career in this field or have panel wiring experience then we want to hear from you.
Duties
- Working from engineering drawings
- Mechanical fitting & wiring of varying panel sizes from 600cm to 3 meters
- Wiring looms/cable harness and relays
- Testing of panels
Experience
- Previous experience as a wirer would be ideal
- Good wiring skills are preferable; however, some training can be given
- Control panel or cable assembly experience an advantage
- Experience of testing would be preferable
- Must be able to lift heavy weights
- Industrial background would be advantageous
Benefits
- Hours of work: 07.30 - 16.30 Monday to Thursday with 1/2 hour lunch and 07.30 - 12.30 Friday
- 20 days holiday rising to 25 days with service + bank holidays
- PPE provided
