Prime Appointments are recruiting for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to join a busy and growing food manufacturing company based in Witham, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated warehouse professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading teams, and is passionate about driving operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, leading a team of warehouse operatives, and ensuring high standards of efficiency, accuracy, and safety are always maintained.
Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager:
- Manage, motivate, and develop a team of warehouse operatives to achieve operational targets.
- Oversee all day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate operations.
- Monitor and drive performance against key operational KPIs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Plan and manage labour requirements, including the effective use of temporary staff during peak periods.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Oversee stock movements, inventory accuracy, and the timely dispatch of goods.
Requirements:
- Proven management experience within a fast-paced FMCG or food manufacturing warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop warehouse teams.
- Strong people management, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience managing operational KPIs and implementing performance improvements.
- A strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control, and inventory management.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
Hours & Pay:
- Permanent, full-time position.
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
- Salary between £36,000 and £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
