Air Compressor Supplier in Witham are currently looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Service Coordinator to join their team. If you have experience in service coordination, engineering administration, customer service or a similar role, get in touch! This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy Service Department, coordinating engineers, supporting customers and ensuring our service operations run efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Coordination & Administration
- Schedule maintenance, breakdowns, repairs and installations.
- Coordinate engineer diaries and allocate service jobs.
- Manage Outlook calendars and improve daily workloads.
- Respond to customer breakdown calls and service enquiries.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and service documentation.
- Process service job sheets and customer purchase orders.
- Customer Service & Sales Support
- Act as the first point of contact for service enquiries.
- Build strong customer relationships through excellent communication.
- Prepare and follow up quotations for repairs, servicing and spare parts.
- Support the Service Manager with departmental targets and growth opportunities.
- Keep customers informed of job progress and completion timescales.
- Sage 200, Invoicing & Stock Coordination
- Input service orders and customer purchase orders into Sage 200.
- Produce invoices promptly following completed work.
- Raise purchase orders and process supplier documentation.
- Coordinate spare parts ordering and prepare picking lists.
- Monitor stock levels and support stock replenishment.
- Produce despatch documentation for carriers.
- Reporting & Performance
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly service reports.
- Monitor outstanding quotations and service jobs.
- Assist with tracking engineer utilisation and service performance.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in Service Coordination, Service Administration, Sales Administration or Customer Service.
- Experience coordinating engineers or field service personnel.
- Experience with Sage 200 or similar ERP systems.
- Excellent organisational and scheduling skills.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work confidently under pressure.
- High attention to detail and good numerical ability.
- A proactive, adaptable and cooperative approach.
Desirable experience: Engineering, manufacturing, compressed air or industrial equipment environments. Service CRM systems and service contracts. Warehouse operations and stock control.
