We are currently recruiting for an Aluminium Window Fabricator to join a well-established architectural manufacturing company based in Braintree. This is a full time, permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, varied fabrication work, and the chance to manufacture high-performance aluminium glazing systems for commercial projects across the UK.
About the role:
- Working within a busy fabrication department, you will be responsible for manufacturing bespoke aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling and glazing systems to exact specifications.
- As an Aluminium Window Fabricator, you will work from technical drawings and cutting lists, assembling high-quality products using specialist machinery and hand tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricating aluminium windows, doors and glazing systems
- Reading and working from technical drawings and cutting lists
- Operating workshop machinery safely and efficiently
- Using crimping machines, drills, routers and hand tools
- Assembling frames, glazing components and associated hardware
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the fabrication process
- Working to production schedules and project specifications
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
- Supporting the fabrication team to meet production deadlines
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as an Aluminium Window Fabricator or within aluminium window and door manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Experience using hand tools and workshop machinery
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Desirable (for top salary bracket): Experience with Kawneer, Sch FCo, Metal Technology or similar aluminium systems
- Experience using crimping machines
What's On Offer:
- £14.00 - £16.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
- Full time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday
