Our engineering client in Harwich, Essex are currently recruiting for a welder / fabricator after winning a large contract!
Overview of the role:
You will be required to undertake a variety of work including repairs and maintenance of equipment and site works.
Starting salary would be between £14 - £18 per hour, depending on experience. This will be a permanent position subject to probation.
Hours of work:
08:00-16:30, Monday to Friday with all overtime paid at 1.5x!
Duties include:
- MIG & MMA welding
- Able to weld Mild steel, thicknesses ranging from 3mm - 15mm
- Use of fabrication machinery within the workshop
- Read & work from engineering drawings independently
- Site work as required around the Essex location (45 minutes from Harwich Maximum)
- Maintenance, welding/fabrication & repair works
- On-site (60%) & in the workshop (40%) of the time
Candidate requirements:
- NVQ, Diploma or Apprenticeship in Welding/Fabrication
- Able to read from technical drawings
- MMA & MIG Welding Experience
- Clean Driving Licence
- It is beneficial if you have previously worked out on site with knowledge of agricultural repairs
