A well-established engineering company located on the outskirts of Colchester are currently recruiting for a Welder / Fabricator to join their team on a temporary – permanent basis.

Who are the company?
This business has been around for over 60 years\’ and provide structural & architectural metal work to the construction sector, both commercial and residential.

This is a temporary – permanent role which is paying between £14 – £16 per hour (depending upon experience).

What will the position involve?

As a Welder / Fabricator you will be welding of structural and architectural metalwork which include staircases, lintels & balconies
MIG welding & fabricating
Use of fabrication machinery such as brake presses and guillotines etc
Quality control of work, ensuring that all welding is up to required standards
Candidate requirements:

Own transport required due to the site location
NVQ/Diploma or apprenticeship in Welding/Fabrication
Ability to read from technical drawings
Experience in structural & architectural metal fabrication is required
Proficiency in MIG, TIG & arc welding techniques
Capability to work independently and collaboratively in small team environments
Strong problem solving skills
