Job Title: Welder

Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Salary: £30,000-£40,000 per annum
Working Hours: Option of 4 or 5 day working week (40 or 45 hours)
Contract: Temp-Perm
The company are a specialist welding & fabrication contractor who cover a wide range of projects from customers within sectors such as construction, government, MOD, food & agricultural. The projects vary so the successful welder must be competent working with various dimensions & materials.
The role is predominantly all MIG welding. You must be able to read from technical drawings & then fabricate independently.
As a welder you will be expected to work with mild & stainless steel on various thicknesses ranging from 5mm – 20mm. Ideally you will be able to operate manual fabrication machinery such as brake press, punch press, guillotine etc.
The applicant must also be able to work well within a team and be flexible to do overtime through the week and on weekends in peak periods.
If you have recently finished a welding course / apprenticeship & are looking for your first role within engineering, then please give us a call as junior / trainee welders will be considered.
