Are you an experienced Production or Warehouse Operative looking for a hands‑on role within a busy manufacturing environment? We are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to join a well‑established manufacturing business based in Thetford. This role will involve supporting logistics and stores operations within a fast‑paced production environment, helping to ensure materials and products are moved efficiently across the site.
The role will require you to work a rotating shift between the hours of 06:00-18:00. Early shift is between 06:00-14:30 and the late shift is 09:30-18:00. Shorter hours on Fridays. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out logistics and stores duties within a manufacturing environment
- Support stock movements using barcode scanners and MRP systems
- Assist with goods handling, storage, and material movements across site
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety within the work area
- Support on‑time delivery and operational productivity targets
- Work within manual handling guidelines and Health & Safety procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement across logistics and stores operations
- Operate FLT/Side Loader equipment where qualified
- Previous experience within a warehouse or logistics role
- Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and MRP systems
- FLT or Side Loader licence advantageous (or willingness to train)
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
- Good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
