Salary: GBP38,000 - GBP42,000 per annum + Depending on level of experience

Location: Epping, Essex

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am – 4:00pm | Friday 7:00am – 3:15pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Team Leader / Workshop Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturer of bespoke timber doors, frames and panels in the Epping area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in joinery, furniture manufacturing or timber door production to lead a skilled workshop team within a busy manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will supervise bench joiners, sprayers and workshop operatives, ensuring production targets, quality standards and health & safety requirements are consistently achieved.

Salary circa £40,000 depending on experience

Early finish on Fridays

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise the manufacture of timber doors and frames
  • Lead and motivate workshop staff to maintain productivity and morale
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications and cutting lists
  • Ensure all joinery work meets company quality standards
  • Plan workshop workflow to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Support production deadlines and coordinate with the wider manufacturing team
  • Carry out performance reviews and provide feedback to employees
  • Manage attendance, timekeeping and disciplinary matters when required
Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience within joinery manufacturing, furniture production or timber doors and frames manufacturing
  • Previous experience leading or supervising teams within a workshop environment
  • Strong communication and people management skills
  • Ability to manage a multicultural workforce
  • Good understanding of manufacturing health & safety procedures
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Organised, reliable and able to work independently
  • Own transport is essential due to location
