We are currently recruiting for an experienced Wood Machinist to join a well-established joinery and manufacturing business in Ipswich. This role is ideal for someone who has previous wood machining experience and is confident working independently within a busy workshop environment.
Wood Machinist Duties:
- Operating woodworking machinery including spindle moulders, routers, saws, band saws, drum sanders, and other workshop equipment
- Working from technical drawings and job specifications
- Preparing and machining timber components accurately to customer requirements
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure finished products meet required standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working as a Wood Machinist within a joinery or woodworking environment
- NVQ, apprenticeship, or relevant training in Joinery or Carpentry (desirable)
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Confident using a range of woodworking machinery
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
