A large manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Diss, Norfolk are looking to recruit for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.
Overview of the role: You will be reporting into the Distribution Manager, whilst ensuring that the products are distributed in a timely manner across the UK and beyond.
What does the role involve?
- Planning and arranging shipments to ensure the most cost-effective result based on customer delivery requirements.
- Preparation of documentation to allow shipments to take place.
- Liaising with the sales department internally to obtain quotes and ensure the best transport routes are followed.
- Speaking with customers and teams internally regarding despatch of customer orders.
- Working closely with the packaging department to ensure the most efficient packing methods.
- Promoting and setting high standards for health and safety.
