Location: Outskirts of Manningtree, Essex (Tendring)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Pay: £12.21ph-£13.50ph (depending on experience)

Are you looking to start or progress your career in logistics and stores management? We are recruiting for a Stores Operative to join our established team based on the outskirts of Manningtree. This is a full-time, hands-on role with excellent training and career progression opportunities in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

The Role:

As a Stores Trainee, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of spares ordering, inventory control, and stock supply. You will report directly to the Aftercare Manager and play a key role in ensuring efficient and timely service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities of the Stores Operative:

  • Maintain stock levels and oversee goods in/out at the Tendring site
  • Use of pick list to pick, pack and prepare orders
  • Procure parts for service engineers to fulfil client service and warranty requirements
  • Use SAGE accounting software for processing orders, invoices, and payments
  • Liaise with internal departments and suppliers
  • Support general office administration and answer calls when required
  • Adhere to Health & Safety and Environmental standards

What We’re Looking For in a Stores Operative:

  • Previous warehouse experience within Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain
  • Well presented, punctual, and proactive
  • Strong communication skills - confident via phone, email, and in person
  • Able to prioritise tasks and work independently
  • Keen to learn and grow within the role
  • Any interest in mechanical or electrical processes would be an advantage
