The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Structural Engineer to lead and deliver a wide range of structural projects from concept through to completion. You will play a key role in both the technical and client-facing aspects of the business, working across residential refurbishments, extensions, and new builds, as well as commercial and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of structural projects (steel, concrete, timber, and masonry)
- Conduct structural assessments, surveys, and reports for domestic and commercial properties
- Liaise with architects, contractors, developers, and local authorities
- Supervise junior engineers and technicians, providing mentorship and technical guidance
- Ensure all work complies with current building regulations and codes of practice
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software
What Weβre Looking For
- Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng or BEng)
- Chartered or working towards chartership (IStructE or ICE)
- A well-established career in structural engineering with proven experience across both domestic and commercial projects
- Strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of UK building regulations, construction methods, and structural design
- Strong background in both domestic and commercial projects
- Proficient in design software such as Tekla, Tedds, AutoCAD, and Revit
- Excellent communication and client liaison skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car for site visits
