Toolmaker | Clacton-on-Sea | £40,000 - £45,000 | Excellent benefits package Are you an experienced Toolmaker looking for the opportunity to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a skilled Toolmaker to join a growing engineering business. This is a hands-on role working on the manufacture, repair and modification of injection mould tools, with a clear pathway to progress into a Toolmaking & Management position as you develop. The Role: Repair and modify injection mould tools Manufacture new mould tools to specification Read and interpret engineering drawings Carry out bench fitting and finishing work Operate manual mills, lathes, surface grinders and spark eroders Support CNC milling operations Work with Mazak/Mazatrol and Bridgeport/Heidenhain systems Support projects and take on increasing responsibility as you progress About You: We're looking for someone with: Proven Toolmaking experience, ideally within injection mould tooling Strong bench fitting skills Experience with manual milling, turning and grinding Manual spark erosion experience Ability to read engineering drawings CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD Wire erosion and CNC milling experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided What's on Offer?
