A client of ours in the Clacton area are recruiting a Purchasing Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm and paying up to £28,000 per annum depending on experience.

Your key duties in this Purchasing Assistant role will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing procurement activities through ERP systems (Sage X3), including MRP functions
  • Issuing RFQs, reviewing supplier quotations, and processing purchase orders
  • Maintaining accurate procurement records and system data
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve delivery, pricing, and order issues
  • Collaborating with internal teams to communicate order status and support operations

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:

  • Previous experience in a procurement or purchasing role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with ERP systems (Sage X3 desirable) and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
