A large manufacturing company located in Ipswich, Suffolk are currently recruiting for a Production Planner. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary with some attractive benefits listed below.

Overview: As a Production Planner, you will play a key role in maintaining operational performance and scheduling in a manufacturing environment.

What does the role involve?

  • Communicate schedule changes clearly and promptly to all relevant departments in the business
  • Produce weekly KPI reporting, whilst making lean improvements within the business
  • Escalate risks and bottlenecks to achieve the weekly plan, working closely with the production, purchasing and demand planning team
  • Lead daily production meetings, reviewing prior day performance and recovery actions
  • Execute weekly production plan and release work orders where required

Candidate requirements:

  • Degree in Supply chain / engineering or similar
  • 3 plus years experience within a production planning or scheduling position within a manufacturing environment
  • Background working ERP/MRP systems (Ideally SAP)
  • Strong excel skills as you will be required to analyse and report large data sets
  • Good communication and organisational skills
