Production Operative – Outskirts of Colchester

£12.62 per hour | 4 on 4 off shifts | Temp to Permanent Opportunity

Prime Appointments are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a successful and expanding company on the outskirts of Colchester, producing high-quality food products.

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity with excellent prospects for progression. All applicants must have their own transport.

Key Responsibilities

• Work across various stages of the production line – including loading, checking and unloading
• Ensure the smooth and continuous running of the production process
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping throughout all tasks
• Follow all legal and company food hygiene requirements
• Assist with internal audits and quality checks
• Support other departments such as warehouse and dispatch when needed

Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• A flexible and proactive attitude to both duties and working hours
• Strong communication skills – written and verbal
• A desire to learn and progress within the business
• Own transport (due to rural location)
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Be local to the Colchester area

Working Hours & Pay

• 4 on, 4 off shift pattern – 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (includes weekend shifts)
• £12.62 per hour
• Overtime available at enhanced rates
• Free on‑site parking
