Monday to Thursday: 08:30-17:00, early finish on Fridays
What You'll Be Doing:
- Designing new mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD (SolidWorks)
- Creating engineering drawings in line with BS8888 and ISO standards
- Supporting prototype builds, testing, and validation of mechanical performance
- Performing tolerance analysis and applying Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles
- Supporting production through documentation, updates, and engineering changes
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives across tools, processes, and quality
- Collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to deliver innovative solutions
What We're Looking For:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline)
- Some experience in mechanical product design, ideally supporting medium-to-high volume manufacturing
- Proficiency in 3D CAD - SolidWorks preferred
- Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing techniques
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team
