Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Maldon – Up to Β£43,000 DOE An international design and manufacturing company supplying institutions worldwide is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to support its production and facility operations. The ideal candidate will be qualified in an engineering discipline and have strong experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance. Benefits: Salary up to Β£43,000 depending on experience. Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Company pension scheme. Free on-site parking. Employee welfare services and social events. Career progression opportunities within a growing business. Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair faults in production line equipment (electrical and mechanical). Maintain, service, and calibrate vacuum pumps and refrigerant charging stations. Test and maintain refrigerant leak detectors in line with safety standards. Lead root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions. Coordinate daily maintenance activities and supervise maintenance teams and contractors. Support Facility Engineers with utilities, HVAC, compressed air, and refrigeration systems. Ensure machine availability and reliability across production areas. Assist in the installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment. Implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules. Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Mentor junior maintenance staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor refrigerant handling and ensure regulatory compliance. Report on maintenance KPIs, downtime analysis, and resource utilisation. Requirements: City & Guilds, ONC, HNC or higher in an engineering discipline. Proven experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance. Strong decision-making and leadership skills. Customer-focused with a collaborative and trustworthy approach.
