Logistics Coordinator

A large manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Diss, Norfolk are looking to recruit for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis. Overview of the role: You will be reporting into the Distribution Manager, whilst ensuring that the products are distributed in a timely manner across the UK and beyond. What does the role involve? As a Logistics Coordinator you will be required to plan and arranging of shipments to ensure the most cost effect result is completed based on the customer delivery requirements Preparation of documentation to allow shipments to take place Liaise with the sales department internally to obtain quotes and best transport routes are followed Speaking with customers and teams internally regarding despatch of customer orders Work closely with packaging department so that the most efficient packing methods Promoting and setting high standards for health & safety across the site Providing support to the distribution manager where required such as administration duties Applicant Requirements: Experience working within a logistics environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Good administrative skills and high attention to detail Proficient user of all MS programs including Teams, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook and Excel Ability to work well individually and as part of a wider team Company perks: Competitive salary Monthly Employee Benefits Program 23 days, increasing to 25 days plus bank holidays Life Assurance x 3 of base salary Company Pension Contributions, starting at 4% and increasing to 7% after 10 year's of serviceIndustry: Manufacturing and Production If you are interested in this Logistics Coordinator role, apply online today
