A well-established design and build practice near Colchester is seeking a Design Assistant to join its growing team. With nearly two decades of experience delivering residential development and bespoke building projects, the company offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a friendly and supportive environment.

This role is ideal for someone with strong Photoshop skills who enjoys working with drawings, planning applications, and residential development projects. You will support experienced designers in producing high-quality planning and construction documentation for a range of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and development of planning application drawings.
  • Use Photoshop to colourise and enhance site layouts and house-type drawings.
  • Support the production of residential development and building project drawings.
  • Work closely with experienced design professionals throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with general office administration and project-related tasks as required.
Skills & Experience
  • Excellent Photoshop skills are essential.
  • Previous experience working with drawings, design projects, or planning submissions would be advantageous.
  • AutoCAD experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and willing to support a small, busy team.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

This is an immediate start so candidates need to be available straight away.

What's on Offer
  • Salary of £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience.
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm (flexibility available).
