Are you an experienced Spray Shop Supervisor with a background in wood finishing and team leadership? We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor to run the paint shop of a busy manufacturing business based in the Suffolk Countryside! This role is commutable from anyone who lives in Stowmarket-Ipswich area.
This is a hands-on role that combines practical spray duties with the day-to-day supervision of a skilled team, ensuring projects are completed to the highest quality standards and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the spray shop department
- Plan workloads and prioritise jobs to ensure customer delivery deadlines are achieved
- Supervise, mentor, and develop team members to maximise performance and productivity
- Monitor quality standards and ensure all finished goods meet specification requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and productivity
- Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development activities
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and organisation within the department
In addition to supervisory responsibilities, you will also be involved in practical activities including:
- Sanding and preparing products for finishing
- Mixing paints and stains to specification
- Applying finishes to bespoke joinery products

- Cleaning and maintaining spray equipment and tools
