An established manufacturing and engineering business in Suffolk is looking to recruit a QHSE Adviser to support and develop its Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental function across a busy multi-site operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive QHSE professional who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with operations, and helping to drive a positive safety and quality culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, implementation and administration of QHSE policies and procedures
  • Maintain and support integrated management systems aligned to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Assist with internal audits and follow-up actions from audit findings
  • Carry out risk assessments and hazard identification across operational areas
  • Monitor compliance with HSE legislation and industry standards
  • Support incident, accident and near-miss investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Assist with emergency preparedness procedures and documentation
  • Promote QHSE training, engagement and awareness across the workforce
  • Support quality control, KPI monitoring and continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure environmental compliance and support sustainability initiatives

About You:

  • You’ll be confident, organised and comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels.
  • You’re able to balance operational demands while keeping QHSE compliance front of mind.
  • Proven QHSE experience (manufacturing or engineering background preferred)
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation
  • Experience with risk assessments and compliance monitoring
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
  • Experience or knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Internal auditing experience or qualification
  • Training or coaching experience
