We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor to run the paint shop of a busy manufacturing business based in the Suffolk Countryside! This role is commutable from anyone who lives in Stowmarket / Ipswich area. This is a hands-on role that combines practical spray duties with the day-to-day supervision of a skilled team, ensuring projects are completed to the highest quality standards and delivered on time. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the spray shop department Plan workloads and prioritise jobs to ensure customer delivery deadlines are achieved Supervise, mentor, and develop team members to maximise performance and productivity Monitor quality standards and ensure all finished goods meet specification requirements Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and productivity Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development activities Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and organisation within the department In addition to supervisory responsibilities, you will also be involved in practical activities including: Sanding and preparing products for finishing Mixing paints and stains to specification Applying finishes to bespoke joinery products Masking, filling, and repairing components where required Cleaning and maintaining spray equipment and tools Working on detailed quality standards and project deadlines Desirable Experience: - Knowledge of veneer selection Experience within bespoke joinery, furniture manufacturing, or woodworking industries Understanding of production planning and scheduling processes What's on Offer: - Competitive salary based on experience 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Company pension scheme Health cash plan Death in service benefit Occupational health support Long service awards Bonus scheme If you're looking for a role where you can combine your technical finishing expertise with leadership responsibilities, apply today. #SUFFOLKPERM
