Are you an experienced Electrician looking for a varied, hands-on role within a well-established engineering business? We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to join a specialist engineering company based in Ipswich, with nearly 40 years of industry experience. This is a permanent opportunity offering a negotiable salary and regular overtime. The company will put the successful candidate through all the necessary qualifications / tickets.
This role will involve working across site improvements, plant maintenance, and electrical installations, making it ideal for someone with a strong industrial background who enjoys a varied workload.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out electrical maintenance across plant and facilities
- Support building upgrades and site improvements
- Work with heavy industrial equipment and machinery
- Maintain and service plant equipment, including FLTs and PAT testing
- Work on industrial electrical installations
- Assist with panel building and control systems where required
- Support maintenance and repair of overhead cranes
- Work with 24v DC control circuits and solenoid valves
- Proven experience as an Electrician or Electrical Maintenance Engineer
- Industrial experience is highly desirable
- 17th or 18th Edition qualification preferred (non-essential)
- Relevant apprenticeship or City & Guilds qualification advantageous
- Basic hydraulic knowledge beneficial
- Experience with panel building or plant maintenance is desirable
- Background in automotive or plant electrics also considered
- Salary circa £40,000 (£18ph-£20ph)
- Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:30 working hours
- Overtime available at enhanced rates
- Permanent position following successful probation
