Job Title: Hygiene Operative Team Leader Location: Outskirts of Colchester (own transport required) Pay Rate: Β£16.15 per hour Hours: 6:00pm β 3:00am, 4 on 4 off shift pattern (including some weekends) Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Night Shift Hygiene Operative Team Leader to join our team. You will be responsible for leading a small team of hygiene operatives to ensure all cleaning activities are completed to the highest standards, supporting food safety, and maintaining compliance with company and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: Carry out cleaning tasks as outlined in Cleaning Instruction Cards and work schedules. Lead and support a team of hygiene operatives. Adhere to all Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures. Perform daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning of machinery and production areas. Dismantle equipment for thorough deep cleaning. Safely handle and work with cleaning chemicals. Complete and maintain all required documentation and sign-offs. Provide cover for holidays and absences. Work closely with the Hygiene Manager and Hygiene Supervisor to drive continuous improvement and maintain high factory standards.Requirements: Self-motivated and reliable. Strong team player with a proactive attitude. Excellent attention to detail and a conscientious approach. Proven track record of reliability and responsibility.
