Prime Appointments are recruiting for a keen and enthusiastic Factory Operative to join a growing manufacturing and production company based in Harlow, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has hands-on experience working within carpentry or wood working environment.
Duties of the Factory Operative:
- Safely operate machinery to accurately measure and cut materials for production - Edge Bander, Hot Press, Sander etc.
- Using a variety of hand and power tools to manufacture products
- Carry out manual handling duties, including heavy lifting
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Wrapping and palletising finished products
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience or qualifications in carpentry, joinery, or a similar trade would be advantageous
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A full driving licence and your own transport due to the location
