Generator Technician Location: Ipswich Salary: £37,000 – £40,000 + Benefits We are seeking an experienced Diesel Generator Technician to join our Critical Power Division in Ipswich. The role is split between field service (75%) and workshop work (25%), supporting customers across the South and East of England. Responsibilities Service, maintain, and repair diesel generators and related equipment Diagnose faults, carry out load bank testing, and use diagnostic software Assist with installation and commissioning of new generators Attend breakdowns, including emergency cover on a rota basis Keep accurate service records and ensure compliance with standardsRequirements Proven experience with diesel generator installation, servicing, and maintenance Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Knowledge of generator control systems (advantageous) Computer literate with good communication skills Reliable, self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team Full UK driving licence essentialBenefits £37k-£40k basic salary + paid overtime Company van, laptop, and mobile phone Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service) Pension scheme, life assurance, sick pay Free on-site parking Training and career development opportunitiesIf you feel like you meet the above criteria & would like to be considered for this Generator Technician position, please apply with your CV and contact Lauren at Prime Appointments for a confidential chat. #Tier1
