Prime Appointment are recruiting for a Farm Hand, working for a busy food manufacturer on a permanent basis within the Colchester, Essex area.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their career within the farming industry. No previous experience required but previous experience within a farm environment would be a distinct advantage.
The successful applicant will get the opportunity to gain certificates in farm related equipment including different plant equipment.
You must be able to drive and have your own transport. Please be aware, elements of this role, will be working in greenhouse environments in all seasons.
Duties of the Farm Hand:
- Moving of produce between locations
- General ground keeper duties ( including mowing grass)
- Assisting with planting crops
- Harvesting duties
The ideal Farm Hand:
- Must be able to drive and have own vehicle
- Physically fit and able
- Looking for or previous experience in farm work
- Ability to work alone and as a team
- Good written and verbal communication
Pay and Hours:
- 11.44- 13.00 depending on experience
- Varied hours from 07.30am -20.00pm
- Work days can vary Monday – Sunday
- Minimum of 40hrs per week
