We are currently recruiting for a Paint Prepper to join a growing manufacturing company based in Halstead. About the role:
- Working within a busy paint shop, you will be responsible for preparing metal and fibreglass components ready for painting.
- This will include inspecting parts, repairing minor surface defects, sanding, filling, cleaning, and ensuring components meet the high-quality standards required before moving into the paint process.
- You will work closely with the paint shop and production teams, learning specialist techniques and developing your skills within a supportive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing metal and fibreglass components for painting
- Sanding, filling and smoothing surfaces to a high standard
- Inspecting components for dents, scratches and surface defects
- Carrying out minor repairs using fillers where required
- Cleaning and preparing components prior to painting
