A busy design agency near Colchester are looking to recruit a Junior CAD Technician to carry out space planning and technical drawing work. The role will involve producing drawings using AutoCAD. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent IT skills with some CAD knowledge to gain experience as a CAD Technician. If you have studied construction or a related subject at college then this could be a great opportunity.
Duties
- Drawing 2D/3D existing & proposed space plans, initial concepts and technical drawings.
- Support Senior and Lead Planners to produce plans from survey data and client information.
- Various other admin related duties, including creation of and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets.
Skills & Experience
- Some AutoCAD knowledge is required.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Good numeracy and literacy are essential skills.
- Adobe Creative suite preferred but not essential.
- An interest in construction or design would be preferable.
- Due to location must have own transport.
- Candidates need to be well motivated, good team players with good communication skills and problem-solving skills.
Benefits
- Starting salary £26,000.
- Hours 8.30am - 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 4.30pm Friday with ½ hour lunch.
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays increasing to 25 days with service.
