A client of ours in the Southend area are recruiting a Business Development Manager to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday, 8.15am - 4.45pm and paying a negotiable salary depending on experience.

Your key duties in this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth
  • Managing and developing existing customer accounts to maximise retention and margin
  • Building strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Preparing and managing quotations, tenders, and securing orders
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and sharing commercial insights

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:

  • Technical interest (fibre optic knowledge advantageous but not essential)
  • Previous experience in a sales/account management role (ideally telecoms/datacomms or similar)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good organisational and time management abilities
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
