EC&I Technician

Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Technician – Rivenhall – Up to £53,000 Are you an experienced EC&I Technician looking to work in a state-of-the-art facility that values innovation, safety, and sustainability? A leading waste management and energy recovery site is seeking a skilled professional to join their maintenance team. About the Role: As an EC&I Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising electrical, control, and instrumentation systems within a highly automated energy recovery facility. This advanced site processes non-recyclable waste, converting it into electricity for the national grid. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on EC&I systems Supporting planned and unplanned shutdown activities Ensuring mengineering activities comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards Collaborating with internal teams and external service providers Identifying and contributing to operational improvement projects What's on offer: Annual Performance Bonus – Up to 2.5% of base salary Paid Holidays – 25 days per year, increasing with service, plus your birthday off! Contributory Pension – Employer contribution of up to 9% Further Education Support – Employer-funded training, study support, and exam fees Wellness Programme – £300 annual allowance for activities such as gym memberships Who We're Looking For: NVQ Level 3 (preferred), HNC/HND, or equivalent experience in electrical, control & instrumentation maintenance Minimum 2 years' experience in a complex operational environment (e.g., Power Generation, Industrial Process, Oil & Gas) Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and PLCs Familiarity with Low, Medium, and High Voltage switching and control equipment Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance Ability to work as part of a 24/7 operational team, including participation in an on-call rota Ready to Join Us?
