We are recruiting a Senior Quality Engineer for an international aerospace manufacturing business supplying precision components to the aerospace sector. This is a senior leadership role responsible for leading site quality and engineering functions, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards.

The Role:

  • Lead and develop the site's quality and engineering teams, promoting a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement
  • Own and maintain the site Quality Management System in line with aerospace standards (e.g. AS9100)
  • Act as the senior quality interface with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies
  • Drive lean and continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and cost
  • Support business development by ensuring engineering capability and resource meet customer requirements
  • Oversee engineering and quality KPIs, ensuring effective communication with production
  • Lead problem-solving and root cause analysis, escalating major non-conformances where required
  • Manage engineering and quality budgets and ensure legal and regulatory compliance

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quality Engineer within the aerospace manufacturing industry
  • Strong engineering background with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and aerospace specifications
  • Experience working with AS9100 and aerospace quality systems
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
  • CAD/CAM experience preferred
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer focus

What's on Offer:

  • Salary circa Β£45,000 DOE
  • Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 7:30am-12:30pm
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays
  • Pension scheme, death in service (2Γ— salary), EAP
