Commercial Fitter – Near Colchester – Full Time – £15.50–£18.50 per hour DOE We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Fitter to join a well-established specialist manufacturer based near Colchester. The business designs and builds bespoke catering trailers, mobile units, vehicle conversions and commercial interiors. This is a full-time opportunity offering £15.50–£18.50 per hour, depending on experience. This role would suit someone with a background in joinery, carpentry, shopfitting, coachbuilding or vehicle conversions, who enjoys practical workshop-based work. About the Role As a Commercial Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting and finishing bespoke commercial interiors, including catering trailers, mobile units and vehicle conversions. Working from technical drawings and specifications, you will install fixtures, fittings, worktops, shelving, flooring and commercial equipment, ensuring every build is completed to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Measuring, cutting, assembling and fitting materials Installing worktops, counters, shelving, doors and internal fixtures Fitting wall and ceiling linings, flooring, trims and finishing details Installing and securing commercial equipment and appliances Working from technical drawings, measurements and job specifications Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment Carrying out adjustments, repairs and finishing work Working alongside welders, fabricators and other trades to complete builds The Ideal Candidate Previous experience in commercial fitting, shopfitting, joinery or carpentry Experience in coach building or vehicle conversions would also be beneficial Able to read technical drawings and take accurate measurements Confident using hand and power tools Good practical skills and attention to detail Able to produce neat, high-quality finishes Reliable, organised and comfortable working within a busy workshop Desirable Experience with catering trailers, food trucks, horseboxes or specialist vehicles Knowledge of laminate, composite panels, stainless steel or commercial flooring Experience fitting interiors and equipment within confined spaces What's On Offer £15.50–£18.50 per hour, depending on experience Full-time workshop-based position Varied bespoke projects – no two builds are necessarily the same Opportunity to work across specialist commercial vehicle and interior builds Established and skilled workshop team Apply today for immediate consideration or contact us on (phone number removed) and ask for Louie
