We're recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking automotive component manufacturing business based in Witham, seeking an experienced CAD/CAM CNC Programmer to join their high-performing Machine Shop. Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, you'll be responsible for programming 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines using Hypermill (training provided if needed but pay rate would change) to produce high-quality components and tooling solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Program 3-axis VMCs (with optional 4th/5th axis rotary tables) and 5-axis UMCs for both one-off prototypes and low-volume production.
- Create efficient, accurate CNC programs using Hypermill (or similar software like PowerMILL, MasterCAM, Fusion 360, EdgeCAM).
- Develop custom fixtures using CAD for both single and production runs.
- Liaise closely with shop floor staff to optimise machining processes.
- Provide DFM feedback to the design team for complex components.
- Mentor apprentices and contribute to internal training initiatives.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in CAD/CAM CNC programming.
- Familiarity with any of the following CAM packages: Hypermill, PowerMILL, MasterCAM, Fusion 360, or EdgeCAM.
- Strong understanding of various materials including aluminium, steel, plastics, epoxy board, and carbon fibre.
- A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
