A well-established engineering and manufacturing company is looking for a reliable Stores & Goods In Operative to join their busy team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for ensuring goods are received, stored and dispatched accurately while supporting the smooth running of production.
If you have previous stores, warehouse or goods-in experience and hold a valid forklift licence, we'd like to hear from you.
The Stores & Goods In Operative role:- Receiving deliveries and checking goods against paperwork
- Booking stock onto the computer system
- Reporting any damaged or missing items
- Moving stock to the correct location
- Loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift
- Supplying materials to the production team
- Keeping stock organised and helping with stock checks
- Arranging deliveries to subcontractors and booking couriers
- Preparing parts for collection and dispatch
- Carrying out local collections and deliveries when required
- Keeping the stores and dispatch areas clean and tidy
- Helping with other warehouse and stores duties as needed
- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or goods in role
- A valid Counterbalance Forklift licence
- Basic computer skills
- Good attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to help
- A full UK driving licence (preferred)
