We are recruiting for a hands-on Production Control and Stores Supervisor to join a long-established aerospace precision engineering business. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day stores and production control activities, ensuring stock accuracy, ERP/MRP transactions, material traceability and smooth support to production across a busy CNC machining environment. The position combines team supervision with practical day-to-day involvement and would suit someone from an engineering stores, production control or manufacturing logistics background.

The Role

  • Supervise stores and production control activities
  • Coordinate a small stores/materials team
  • Manage goods inward and outward processes
  • Maintain accurate ERP/MRP transactions and stock records
  • Check material certifications and traceability documentation
  • Issue materials, consumables and bought-out parts to production
  • Coordinate subcontract processes including plating, heat treatment and grinding
  • Monitor stock levels and consumable purchasing
  • Support stock counts, dispatch and month-end WIP reporting
  • Maintain AS9100 standards and system accuracy
  • Support hands-on stores activities, including occasional unloading duties

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within engineering, manufacturing or precision machining
  • Previous stores, production control or stock coordination experience
  • Experience supervising staff in an operational environment
  • Strong ERP/MRP system knowledge
  • Good understanding of stock control and traceability
  • Organised, practical and detail-focused approach
