Are you experienced in a wood workshop, furniture manufacturing, finishing, or paint shop environment and looking for your next opportunity? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer on the outskirts of Stowmarket for a Veneerer / Woodshop Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team where you'll receive full training in veneering. Previous veneering experience isn't essential - if you have a background working with wood and a keen eye for quality, we'd love to hear from you. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop specialist skills within a stable, long-term role.
What you'll be doing:
- Applying veneer to a range of bespoke wooden products
- Preparing timber and components ready for finishing
- Carrying out quality inspections to ensure a high standard of workmanship
- Using a variety of hand tools and workshop equipment
- Working from production instructions and specifications
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working in a woodshop, joinery, carpentry, cabinet making, furniture manufacturing, finishing, or paint shop environment
- Has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in producing high-quality work
- Is practical, hands-on, and eager to learn a specialist trade
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
