A client of ours in the Witham area are recruiting a Transport Manager to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm and paying £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience.
Key Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Managing transport operations to ensure cost-effective and efficient delivery performance
- Planning and coordinating haulage movements across multiple sites
- Monitoring and live tracking of fleet activity, proactively resolving transport issues and delays
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, hauliers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations
- Managing stock transfers, sales order movements and third-party logistics activities
- Maintaining and updating logistics planning schedules and transport records
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Transport Manager position:
- Previous experience within transport planning, logistics or fleet coordination
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Logistics distribution and supply chain experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
- SAP experience would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
