A client of ours in the Witham area are recruiting a Transport Manager to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm and paying £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience.

Key Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Managing transport operations to ensure cost-effective and efficient delivery performance
  • Planning and coordinating haulage movements across multiple sites
  • Monitoring and live tracking of fleet activity, proactively resolving transport issues and delays
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, hauliers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Managing stock transfers, sales order movements and third-party logistics activities
  • Maintaining and updating logistics planning schedules and transport records

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Transport Manager position:

  • Previous experience within transport planning, logistics or fleet coordination
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Logistics distribution and supply chain experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • SAP experience would be advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
