We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Clacton-on-Sea to add a Stores Controller / Counterbalance Forklift Driver to their team.

Employment Type: Temporary

Salary: £13.00 per hour

Location: Clacton-on-Sea, Essex

Workplace: On-site

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Duties:

  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck daily
  • Loading and unloading deliveries
  • Moving stock, raw materials and finished goods around the site
  • Supplying materials to production areas
  • Goods In and Goods Out duties
  • Carrying out stock checks and cycle counts
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and processing stock movements
  • Carrying out quality checks on incoming materials
  • Investigating stock discrepancies
  • Ensuring stock is correctly stored and labelled
  • Working closely with warehouse, production and purchasing teams
  • Following all Health & Safety procedures

Qualifications:

  • Current Counterbalance Forklift licence (essential)
  • Knowledge of logistics, distribution and supply chain
  • Previous forklift experience in a warehouse, stores or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with stores, stock control, goods in, goods out or inventory control
  • Good IT skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using stock control, ERP or warehouse management systems advantageous
  • Proactive and organised approach to work
