The Role

You will take ownership of the end‑to‑end operational function, fulfilment, customer service, inventory management and carrier performance, managing the Warehouse Manager and wider operational teams. This business runs a busy in‑house fulfilment operation with significant seasonal peaks, and the warehouse floor is at the heart of it. This is not a desk‑based role. The successful candidate will be a visible, active presence on the floor daily, working closely alongside the Warehouse Manager to keep the operation running effectively. You will also work directly with the founders on operational strategy and continuous improvement, with real scope to shape how the business scales.

What We're Looking For

  • A background in Operations Management, Fulfilment Management or Warehouse Management, prior experience as a Warehouse Manager, or in a role with significant hands‑on warehouse or fulfilment responsibility, is strongly preferred.
  • Solid experience within e‑commerce fulfilment or distribution.
  • Experience in FMCG, perishable goods, gifting or a similarly busy consumer environment would be an advantage.
  • Strong labour planning skills including seasonal and temporary workforce management.
  • Experience managing inventory, carrier performance and operational planning.
  • Able to drive process and systems improvements.
  • A hands‑on leadership style, comfortable at both the strategic and operational level.

The Package

  • £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
  • Performance‑related bonus scheme
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Pension scheme
  • Monday to Friday, occasional weekends during peak periods.
