Temporary £15.00 - £17.00 p/h Ipswich, Suffolk On-site

Our client in Ipswich is recruiting a Trade Compliance Data Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time temporary position working Monday to Thursday 8:15am to 5:00pm and Fridays 8:15am to 4:45pm (with every other Friday off), 30‑minute unpaid lunch, paying £15.00–£17.00 per hour depending on experience. Duration: 3 - 6 months.

Your key duties:

  • Collating and maintaining country of origin (COO) data across a wide range of parts and supplier records
  • Reviewing and validating supplier documentation to confirm accurate origin information
  • Updating internal systems with COO codes linked to part numbers
  • Supporting the development and improvement of trade compliance data processes
  • Assisting in the organisation and prioritisation of large data sets within a global supply chain
  • Liaising with internal teams and suppliers to resolve missing or inconsistent data

Skills and Experience required:

  • Previous experience in trade compliance, customs, import/export, logistics or supply chain administration (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data handling
  • Comfortable working with large spreadsheets and/or ERP systems
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage repetitive data tasks accurately
  • Strong communication skills for supplier and internal coordination
  • Ability to work independently and maintain focus on structured tasks
