Temporary, £15.00 - £16.00 per hour, Ipswich, Suffolk, On-site, Mechanical Fitter - Immediate Start

Location: Ipswich, Suffolk

Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:30 (40 hours per week)

Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour (weekly) with review after 3 months

Contract: Permanent upon successful 3-month probation.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble hydraulic equipment and components
  • Clean and prepare parts before assembly
  • Test completed products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Read and interpret engineering (CAD) drawings
  • Work on heavy plant equipment used within the construction industry
  • Support other departments when required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in mechanical fitting or mechanical assembly
  • Good understanding of hydraulic systems (preferred)
  • Ability to confidently read engineering drawings
  • Work independently and produce high-quality work
  • Flexible approach and willingness to help across the workshop
  • Strong assembly background with a keen interest in developing mechanical engineering skills (training may be provided)
