I am looking for a Welder Foreman to join a well-established metal fabrication company on a full time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity offering long-term stability, a leadership position within the workshop, and the chance to work on a variety of bespoke fabrication projects across multiple industries. This role would suit an experienced fabrication professional with a strong MIG welding background who has previously held a senior position such as Supervisor, Team Leader, or Foreman.

About The Role

  • Working within a busy fabrication workshop, you will be responsible for overseeing the late shift operation, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently met.
  • Mainly supporting the fabrication team whilst remaining hands-on with welding and fabrication duties when required.
  • Supervising and supporting the late shift fabrication team.
  • MIG welding and fabrication of bespoke metal products.
  • Reading and working from technical engineering drawings.
  • Allocating work and monitoring production output.
  • Ensuring welding and fabrication quality standards are maintained.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior workshop staff.
  • Maintaining health & safety standards across the workshop.
  • Liaising with production and management teams to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Assisting with general workshop organisation and workflow.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven MIG welding and fabrication background.
  • Previous experience in a senior workshop role such as Foreman, Supervisor, or Team Leader.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced fabrication environment.
  • Reliable and capable of leading by example.

  • Salary up to £20.00 per hour (dependent on experience).

  • Late shift - Monday to Friday (2:00pm - 10:00pm).
