Prime Appointments are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Service Technician for a leading engineering services provider supporting the Energy, Power Generation, Refinery, Utilities and Heavy Engineering sectors.

The Role
- Service, maintain, repair and overhaul rotating equipment, including pumps and turbines.
- Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs on industrial plant.
- Perform alignment, inspection and precision measurements.
- Support planned shutdowns, outages and reactive maintenance.
- Complete service reports and technical documentation.
- Travel to customer sites across the UK (90% within one hour of Wickford).
Skills & Experience
- ONC, HNC, NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with pumps, turbines, compressors or other rotating equipment.
- Background in power generation, energy, refinery, utilities or heavy engineering.
- Strong fault finding and mechanical diagnostics skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willing to join a 1-in-5 callout rota.
